Many of us have blog friends (some mutual) on the east coast of the US and it has been a harrowing time over the past couple of days for so many people during the passing of this awful storm Sandy which has left so much damage and heartache in its path.
All of my blog friends are safe and well and my prayers and thoughts are with those who were not so lucky and are now left to face the days ahead.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Like so many other bloggers I am taking a break from posting - possibly for several weeks.
It is time for me to put my complete and total energies into some other matters for the time being.
I doubt I will be able to stay away and not visit your blog though, and hopefully leave some awfully clever or cheeky comments. (I'm not that disciplined to stay away altogether!)
Take good care and I'll leave you with a couple of pretty pics.
NO! I've been wondering why you weren't posting. I shall miss you but hope you have a good break and do whatever you need to do. It's awful how life gets in the way of blogging. I myself had intended to cut down to 1 a week and then suddenly, the cosmos threw me some stuff to post (or rather whinge about). Ce la.
ReplyDeleteThanks for pointing out FRED. After carefully studying the markings, I can only assume the other one is the BRAT. Look at those fitas! I think your wishes are well on their way :) LOVE the first shot. You get all the pretty ones. We get the vandals.
See you later! Big hugs X
Although I will miss your very clever blogs I understand and will be watching for you on my blog. I will also be praying daily for you until we see you post again. You have my email and I hope you will keep in touch with me. Much love to you, Cheri
ReplyDeleteWe all need a break now and then, I'll be here when you get back ;o)
ReplyDeleteHi Rose! I certainly understand, we never to take care of life at times! I'll miss you and your little fuzzy faces. I never think about other countries not having Halloween. It's great you looked it up. It's fun. We had over 200 kids come to our house trick or treating.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
I wish I had birds like that coming around my back yard, They are so colorful! But here in Oregon it is too cold for them.
ReplyDeleteI will miss your posts but it is ok to take breaks and do what you need to do.
Hello Rose:
ReplyDeleteWe shall miss you hugely but do understand completely. If one is not very careful, blogging can become rather addictive and very time consuming. This is all very well, but when real life calls, then.....! Take the greatest of care and 'pop in' as and when you have a mind so to do.
Larry we could never forget you!! The parrots are so pretty Rose, I bet the gorgeous blue one is the male, that's just not right haha! Have a good break But don't on' desert us completely, we'll miss you too much.
ReplyDeleteBy the way the new header is beauty..
ReplyDeleteThose speech bubble pups of yours are always so adorable. The expression in the last photo says it all. We'll miss you but I can understand the need for taking a blogging break at times. Thank you for your sweet words on my blog after Hurricane Sandy. The approaching storm was unnerving and it turned out not so bad in our immediate area. I am very sad about the people who suffered its path, so much devastation.
ReplyDeleteenjoy and good luck on your break. but, come back!!
ReplyDeleteHowdy Everybuddy, we won't forget ya. Relax and enjoy your time off. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
ReplyDeleteHave a good blog break! Blog holiday? Blogiday? Blogcation?
ReplyDeleteRose, you will be in my prayers and I will be anxiously waiting for your return. I will email you. Love the birds, they are simply beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSomeone coined a word a while back "Nanoblomo" which apparently stood for National No Blogging Month. You could turn it into "Nanowrimo" National Novel Writing Month". It seems a lot of these abbreviations are well on their way to being words in their own right. Oh what are we doing to our language.
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures, enjoy the break.
I've just found your blog and you're taking a break!! LOL I hope you enjoy your break and perhaps I'll see you around later. I like the very colourful bird you feature.
ReplyDeleteHow amazing it must be to look out your window and see such big beautiful birds. Their colors are miraculous. Are the parrots in the wild a little bit mischievous like tamed parrots are? Love the way you let us know what your sweet dogs are thinking/saying to each other. Their faces are so expressive. Hope your blogcation doesn't stretch out for too long a time. We'll be watching for your return.
ReplyDeletehappy blogging break. will look forward to reading your posts when you return.
ReplyDeleteAnd those parrots are just wonderful.
Love the photos! Birds have always been one of my favorite animals. It's nice to know that people around the world are watching and caring what happens to us lil' ol' Americans over here when disaster strikes. Your warm thoughts and love across the globe are appreciated.
ReplyDeleteJust letting you know I am thinking of my friend.
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a good blog break, Rose. I will also be taking a break until after the New Year. Enjoy your time.
ReplyDeleteI am soooo behind the 8 ball with my reading that I'm only just reading this! Hope you're having a a productive break there, totally on the same page as you. Maybe you should change the name of your blog while you're away - 'Rose from Oz has just stepped out of the building', or 'Rose from Oz was back, but she's off again'! I love those birds... are they just from around your place? Just beautiful. xx
ReplyDeleteAny body home??? Miss you Rose, hope all is going well for you..
Hi Rose. Oh, what sweet compliments about my tree and entryway. I do love it and feel really blessed to have such a big space. The one who built our house, I just know they made this spot for the Christmas tree! :)
ReplyDeleteHope you're enjoying your break.
Shelia ;)
Hi Rose! Oh, I loved what you said about not letting the child inside go to sleep. I'll tell you what, my child inside is on steroids, I'm just sure of it! :)
